Kings and Queens of great design can really appreciate this loft designed by Jennifer Siegal and Sandra Sharma from Office of Mobile Design & BLANKSPACE. Inspired b y the sophomore album from 30 Seconds to Mars, “A Beautiful Lie,” the designers crafted a story around a fictional young couple – an artistic husband, a singer/songwriter wife, and a baby on the way – concerned about the environment and passionate about high quality modern furniture and art. The band and album were chosen because of their concern for the environment, focused on issues such as the melting polar ice caps, putting together the Environmentour, and living in elegant simplicity. Utilizing organic and repurposed found objects from recycled skateboards as kitchen tiles to hay bales as a bed, each room from the reading nook to the nursery is uniquely peaceful and functional, and hopefully provokes thought about everything from the mundane to the extraordinary.
